Twin Day!
2nd Graders worked HARD on 3 graded check-ins today; spelling, math, and reading! They absolutely earned themselves an extra recess this afternoon!
One of the bigger changes in 2nd grade is how much they are expected to WRITE. Today, students finished up their first week long writing about themselves. Students went through brainstorming, rough drafts, edits and then composing their final drafts!
Students got their hands on pattern blocks Monday to explore what the phrase “double it” really means. Thinking about what “doubles” really look like.
Dusting off our addition skills with a “color by sum” while also practicing our collaborative skills. Never hurts to celebrate a birthday before the weekend either!
Steve gave us a visit today and took our chairs! Lucky for us it led to a fun outdoor brain break and some more community building!
